MPO738 ABSTRACT DEVICE FOR AND METHOD OF INTERNAL, PIPELINE PROTECTION A device provides corrosion protection for the inside of a pipeline, particularly at weld areas between pipe sections. The device (20) has a polymeric liner (22) that is bonded to the inside of the pipe, the liner being driven outwards into contact with the pipe on activation of a delivery arrangement (26) by heating the pipe from outside. The delivery arrangement (26) may be of a shape memory metal or of a high modulus engineering plastics material. The bonding material (24) is applied progressively to the inside of the pipe, thereby to preclude entrapment of air between the liner (22) and the inside of the pipe.
