The device serves to apply labels to containers (10), for example, drinks bottles. The orientation of the container (10) is determined by means of an electro-optical device (18) and corresponding signals are generated. Said signals control a device (24, 32) for turning the container to a set orientation, such that labels can be applied in a pre-determined position on the container (10).

L'invention concerne un dispositif permettant d'apposer des étiquettes sur des récipients (10), par ex. des bouteilles pour boissons. L'alignement des récipients (10) est détecté au moyen d'un dispositif électro-optique (18) et des signaux appropriés sont produits. Lesdits signaux régulent un dispositif (24, 32) servant à faire tourner les récipients dans un alignement théorique, de sorte à pouvoir apposer les étiquettes dans une position prédéfinie sur les récipients (10).
