27293-17 Abstract In the application of water-borne paints, when direct charging or contact charging of the high-speed rotary atomizers is desired, difficult electrical insulation problems must be mastered, which make the existing units expensive. In order to overcome these problems, a paint storage vessel is proposed, which is subdivided by a flexible insulation into two interior spaces which are each connected to their own distribu- tion line and to their own paint supply line, the connection of the ring main to the two distribution lines being effected with the interposition of an electrically insulating change-over mechanism.
