The invention relates to a device 1 for artificially simulating a fire, in particular for use in the hearth of an open fireplace, having a housing 2 in which, in order to simulate a fire, an artificial fuel bed 3 into which moving, in particular strip-shaped, tongue-shaped or tab-shaped flame simulation elements 5 whose image is reflected into the field of vision 4, and at least one light source 6 or 7 for illuminating the fuel bed (3) and/or the flame simulation elements 5 are arranged, the flame simulation elements 5 being arranged on at least one moving, motor-driven carrier element 11.

L'invention concerne un dispositif (1) servant à la simulation artificielle d'un feu, à utiliser en particulier à l'emplacement du foyer d'une cheminée ouverte. Ce dispositif comprend un corps (2), dans lequel sont disposés, pour simuler le feu, un lit de combustible (3) artificiel, des éléments de simulation de flammes (5) reflétés et déplacés dans le champ visuel (4), se présentant en particulier sous la forme de bandes, de lames ou de languettes, ainsi qu'au moins une source lumineuse (6 ou 7) servant à éclairer le lit de combustible (3) et/ou les éléments de simulation de flammes (5), ces derniers étant disposés sur au moins un élément de support (11) déplacé par un moteur.
