Abstract The present invention is directed to a device for assembling fabric layers having a simple construction. The device comprises two plates connected to each other, one carrying a plurality of needles and the other having a series of corresponding holes; the two plates may be brought near to each other, so that the needles jut out from the holes to transfix the fabric layers, and may be removed so that the plate with the holes slips off the fabric layers from the needles. A locking mechanism is provided which locks, in an unlockable manner, the two plates in their approached position.
