69727-19 ABSTRACT A device for attaching buttons, rivets, or the like in a correctly-oriented rotational position, in particular on items of clothing, rotates a button part which incorporates an index and which is arranged in an upper tool by means of an upper tool rotating gripper. The upper tool rotating gripper is continuously driven through a friction clutch and can be stopped in various predetermined rotational positions by means of adjustable stops.
