Abstract of the Disclosure This invention concerns a device for automatic circula- tion in waste water pump stations. The pump unit is provided with a valve directly at the pump housing to open a connection between the pump and the pump station. By operation of the valve, circulation of the waste in the pump station is obtained. The valve is arranged at the upper side of the pump housing and has an outlet which is oriented in a direction within 45° to either side of the direction directly opposite to the direction of flow of the waste at the location where the valve is connected. Thus, the risk of clogging of the valve is minimized and flexible objects which may be entrained in the medium are prevented from becoming wrapped around any surfaces at that location.
