ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention relates to a device for automatically watering plants or flowers. The device comprises a pot adapted to retain the plant or flower therein. The pot has at least one orifice at the bottom thereof. A tank is provided which holds water and the tank and the pot sits on a base. An automatic level control means is provided which controls the flow of water to the base from the tank based on the consumption of water from the base by the plant or flower and the loss of the water to environmental conditions. This device allows for accurate control of the supply of water to plants or flowers, especially over an extended period of time.
