PHD 80-155 -8- ABSTRACT: A capping device which consists of a container which is filled with a wetting medium and whose side which faces the jet nozzles is covered by a semipermeable dia- phragm. The diaphragm may be stretched across the holder in a tight or in loose manner. The diaphragm is permeable for the wetting medium and preferably consists of a cellu- lose hydrate with a thickness of approximately 22 µm.
