8200-59 ABSTRACT A device for exchanging tools in a platen press includes a track (63) along which a column (15) provided with a lifting fork (37) is guided, the fork being coupled or uncoupled with a tool holder carriage (86). The coupling of the tool holder carri- age (86) is performed by hands (87 to 90). The lifting fork (37) has at its upper part a table 110 to be used in front of the platen press (1) and at each individual unit (4 to 6). The device is used to exchange of the tools in the units (4 to 6) of a platen press (1).
