ABSTRACT In order to check the correct sheet infeed and the lateral position of the sheet, sensors are attached to the feeder of sheet-fed rotary printing presses with pull-type lays. The signals supplied from the sensors are processed by digital control electronics and influence the control of the press. Each pulling operation is monitored in this manner. The respective operating statuses and the respective monitoring operations are made visible on a light-emitting diode display panel with the aid of the signal sequence.
