An apparatus for chemical vapour phase deposition activated by a plasma comprises a microwave excited plasma reactor with a reaction chamber (10), a microwave generator (20), a wave guide (21) providing non-resonant coupling, and means (40-54) for introducing at least one flow of a predetermined gas mixture into said chamber. The introduction means comprise, in sequence, means (40-43) for transforming the state of a deposition material precursor to turn it to a gas, means (41, 42) for supplying a vector gas capable of acting as a gas precursor for forming said predetermined gas mixture. Means (18) for injecting the predetermined gas mixture into the chamber (10) comprise an externally frustroconical nozzle having an injection orifice at one end shaped according to the injection orifice and the configuration of the column of plasma formed, said nozzle having heating and thermal insulation means for the gas mixture.
Appareil de dépôt chimique en phase vapeur activé par un plasma, comprenant un réacteur à plasma à excitation par mi- cro-ondes avec une enceinte de réaction (10), un générateur de micro-ondes (20), un guide d'ondes (21) assurant un couplage non résonnant, et des moyens (40-54) pour introduire dans l'enceinte au moins un flux d'un mélange gazeux prédéterminé; les moyens d'introduction comprennent, en suivant: des moyens (40-43) de transformation d'état d'un précurseur d'un matériau de dépôt pour l'amener à l'état gazeux, des moyens (41, 42) d'amenée d'un gaz vecteur apte à se charger en précurseur gazeux pour constituer le susdit mélange gazeux prédéterminé; et des moyens d'injection (18) du mélange gazeux prédéterminé dans l'enceinte (10) comportant une buse extérieurement tronconique pourvue d'un orifice d'injection situé à une extrémité conformée en fonc- tion de l'orifice d'injection et de la configuration de colonne de plasma formée, cette buse ayant des moyens de chauffage et de calorifugeage du mélange gazeux.
