ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A device for cleaning a cylindrical object, such as a bolt, includes a sleeve having an open end through which the object to be cleaned is placed in the sleeve, and a rotor provided in the sleeve substantially coaxially therewith. A device is provided on the sleeve for driving the rotor. The rotor is provided with a plurality of arms each having a base end supported on the rotor and provided with a brush at its free end. The arms are rotatable radially of the rotor to position themselves relative to the object to be cleaned and are rotatable about the object with the rotation of the rotor to clean the object. A holding ring is provided around the rotor for holding the arms so that the brushes may contact the object effectively. - 17 -
