This invention refers to a device for bringing about the closure of one or both of the eyes of a doll, this device being composed of two rigid arms, one fixed and the other swinging, which pass through the mounting neck flange joining the head and body of the doll, these two arms being separated by a spring placed between them within the cavity of the body of the doll itself, while the part of their length within the head incorporates an axis for rotation at the end of the fixed arm to permit a pair of bent levers to swing, these levers being equipped with slots through which a single pin moves, this pin being joined to the end of a second lever affixed to the swinging arm, such that when manual pressure is applied on the corresponding part of the body this brings about the swinging of the mobile arm, causing the two bent levers to swing and their two free ends to move towards each other, these free ends holding elements or pins that are joined to the upper and lower parts of the wall around the eyes or eyelids, causing them to close.
