A device for coating food products with granular material, for example breadcrumb material, comprises a rotating conveyor belt which is permeable to the granular material and on which the food products can be held, guide plates whichextend beneath at least a section of the top part and the bottom part of the conveyor belt, a feed, which opens out above the top part of the conveyor belt, for the granular material, diverter means for guiding the granular material from the top part to the bottom part of the conveyor belt and back, as well as conveyor means for conveying granular material from the top part of the conveyor belt to the feed. A selection means to which granular material is fed from the top part of the conveyor belt is situated between the top part and the bottom part of the conveyor belt, via which selection means the selected granular material is fed to the bottom part of the conveyor belt.
Appareil servant à enrober des aliments avec un matériau granulé, par exemple de la chapelure. L'appareil comprend une courroie transporteuse rotative perméable au matériau granulé et sur laquelle sont déposés les produits alimentaires, des plaques guides situées sous au moins une section de la partie supérieure et de la partie inférieure de la courroie transporteuse, un dispositif assurant l'alimentation en matériau granulé qui s'ouvre au-dessus de la partie supérieure de la courroie transporteuse, un dispositif de déflection servant à guider le matériau granulé de la partie supérieure à la partie inférieure de la courroie transporteuse et vice versa, ainsi qu'un dispositif de transport du matériau granulé de la partie supérieure de la courroie transporteuse jusqu'au dispositif d'alimentation.
