DEVICE FOR COLLECTING CELL MATERIAL ABSTRACT A device for collecting cell material from body cavities composed of a guide tube and a cell sampler which is retractable into the guide tube. The cell sampler has the shape of an inflatable balloon which is retractable into itself and pulled over the front end of the guide tube. Traction (retraction) means, which passes through the guide tube and is connected with the inner wall of the balloon-type cell sampler, has been pro- vided for retracting the cell sampler into the guide tube.
