ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An interface between a fax machine and a computer for communication comprises an off-hook detector, a ring detector, and relay switches. The interface device is used for executing three operations: the communication between the computer and the fax machine, the communication between the fax machine and the Central Office, and communication between the computer and the Central Office. By means of the interface device, the fax machine directly transmits informations from the computer and stores the receive informations to the computer.
