DEVICE FOR COMPENSATING SYNCHRONOUS DISTURBANCES IN THE MAGNETIC SUSPENSION OF A ROTOR ABSTRACT A rotor is carried by radial electromagnetic bearings each having an associated detecting device which, through a servo-circuit, governs the current to the windings of the bearing to maintain the rotor in a predetermined position. To combat synchronous disturbances, the servo- circuit includes a filter which rejects frequencies in a narrow band centered on a frequency corresponding to the speed of the rotor. By using conversion circuits slaved to the rotor, the system operates for any rotor speed.
