The present invention relates to a device for compressing a tube which can be used to control fluid flow within the tube, for pumping fluid, or for operating as a motor. More specifically, the invention relates to a device with a compressing member that can move along the tubing. The tubing can be easily removed from the device after operation. This can greatly simplify cleaning or replacement of the tubing. The device is very compact and economical to manufacture and maintain. The device consists of a supporting roller, a compressing roller that are driven against each other using handles. This causes a location of compression on the tube which restricts fluid flow. The handles can also be moved along the tube to cause the fluid to move within the tube. Another function of the device is to apply fluid pressure to one end of the tube. This induces a force to cause the compressing roller to move linearly along the tube.
