A device for confirming the position of a branch pipe opening allows a branch pipe opening to be easily located so that a main pipe liner bag can be exactly cut along the branch pipe opening. The device for confirming the position of a branch pipe opening is composed of a holding member having a shape such that the holding member is in close contact with an inner wall of a main pipe when the device is placed in position, and a protrusion formed in a portion of the holding member, wherein the protrusion has an opening substantially conformal to a branch pipe opening, and extends beyond an inner surface or beyond the inner surface and an outer surface of the holding member. The device for confirming the position of a branch pipe opening is introduced into a main pipe, and arranged to position the protrusion of the device at a branch pipe opening. The holding member is closely contacted onto an inner wall of the main pipe to insert the protrusion into the branch pipe opening so that the device is secured within the main pipe. Subsequently, the main pipe is lined using a main pipe liner bag which is composed of a tubular resin absorbent material and an unhardened liquid hardenable resin impregnated in the tubular resin absorbent material. Then, the main pipe liner bag is cut along a mark substantially conformal to the branch pipe opening. The mark is protrusively formed on the main pipe liner bag due to the protrusion of the device for confirming the position of a branch pipe opening.
Un dispositif pour confirmer la position de l'ouverture d'un tuyau d'embranchement permet de localiser facilement l'ouverture d'un tuyau d'embranchement de sorte qu'on peut découper un sac de revêtement intérieur de conduite principale exactement le long de l'ouverture du tuyau d'embranchement. Le dispositif pour confirmer la position de l'ouverture d'un tuyau d'embranchement se compose d'un élément de retenue dont la forme lui permet d'être en contact étroit avec la paroi intérieure d'une conduite principale quand le dispositif est placé dans la position, et d'une saillie formée dans une partie de l'élément de retenue, laquelle a une ouverture substantiellement conforme à l'ouverture du tuyau d'embranchement, et s'étend au-delà d'une surface intérieure ou au-delà de la surface intérieure et d'une surface extérieure de l'élément de retenue. Le dispositif pour confirmer la position de l'ouverture d'un tuyau d'embranchement est introduit dans une conduite principale et arrangé de manière à placer la saillie du dispositif devant l'ouverture d'un tuyau d'embranchement. L'élément de retenue est mis en contact étroit avec la paroi intérieure de la conduite principale pour faire entrer la saillie dans l'ouverture du tuyau d'embranchement de manière que le dispositif soit assujetti dans la conduite principale. Par la suite, la conduite principale est garnie d'un sac de revêtement intérieur constitué d'un matériau tubulaire absorbant la résine et d'une résine durcissable non encore durcie qui imprègne le matériau tubulaire absorbant la résine. Ensuite le sac de revêtement intérieur de la conduite principale est découpé le long d'une marque substantiellement conforme à l'ouverture du tuyau d'embranchement. La marque est formée en saillie sur le sac de revêtement intérieur de la conduite principale en raison de la saillie du dispositif pour confirmer la position de l'ouverture d'un tuyau d'embranchement.
