-9- ABSTRACT DEVICE FOR CONNECTING A HOSE END TO A CONNECTING BRANCH A connecting branch (1) has a nozzle (2) at one end and an annular collar (5) spaced therefrom, the nozzle being intended to be inserted into an end of a hose (3), in use, with a clamp (4), connecting the branch (1) and hose (3). The clamp is formed of two partial shells (7a, 7b) connected together by a hinge pin (8), each partial shell having a retaining flange (10) engaging over the annular collar and a clamping flange (11) to press the hose (3) against the nozzle (2), in use The clamp is operable between open and closed positions by means of a tension lever (12) which is articulated to one partial shell (7b) whilst a spring (14) connects the lever (12) to the other partial shell (7a). To prevent rotation of the clamp (4) in the circumferential direction about the nozzle, the annular collar (5) has two radial projections (6) which form a fork, accommodate between them the hinge pin (B) and pass through apertures (9) in the partial shells. To prevent axial removal of the clamp from the nozzle the annular collar (5) has a radial extension (13), on its side diametrically opposed to the projections (6), of a length (L) greater than its unextended radius (H/2).
