The invention relates to a device for the care of contact lenses, comprising a container (1), an aqueous 3 % H2O2 solution that may be introduced in the container (1) and a catalyst consisting of a platinum layer to neutralize the H2O2 solution, the surface thereof being in contact with the aqueous H2O2 solution, wherein a silver layer (7) contacts the H2O2 solution with the purpose of improving the oligodynamic effect of the care solution, the surface of said layer having a maximum size of 3.0 mm2/ml.
