The invention relates to a device for controlling the gas pressure in a coke oven chamber, with an immersion cup, to which water is supplied, and with an immersion pipe which is connected to the gas space of the coke oven chamber and terminates in the immersion cup. The immersion cup has an overflow and a closeable outflow. According to the invention, to control the liquid level, an outflow pipe for water is provided, the inflow-side end of which projects into the immersion pipe and contains casing-side inflow orifices for the inflow of water. Within the outflow pipe is arranged a slide which is open on both end faces and which closes the inflow orifices of the outflow pipe in the longitudinal direction according to the position of said slide and forms a vertically adjustable overflow for the water flowing into the outflow pipe. The inflow-side end of the outflow pipe is surrounded by a siphon pipe which closes the outflow pipe on the top side and which forms an annular duct for the inflow of water, said annular duct issuing into the immersion cup below the immersion pipe.

L'invention concerne un dispositif permettant de réguler la pression gazeuse dans une chambre de four à coke, comprenant une tasse à immersion alimentée en eau, ainsi qu'un tube plongeur qui est relié à l'espace gazeux de la chambre de four à coke et se termine dans la tasse à immersion. Ladite tasse à immersion présente un trop-plein, ainsi qu'un déversoir pouvant être fermé. Selon l'invention, il est prévu pour réguler le niveau de liquide, un tuyau de décharge pour l'eau, dont l'extrémité côté admission fait saillie dans le tube plongeur et contient des ouvertures d'entrée côté enveloppe, pour l'alimentation en eau. Il est prévu à l'intérieur du tuyau de décharge, un coulisseau ouvert sur les deux faces avant, qui ferme les ouvertures d'admission du tuyau de décharge, selon sa position dans le sens longitudinal et constitue un trop-plein à réglage vertical pour l'eau affluant dans le tube de décharge. L'extrémité côté admission du tuyau de décharge est entourée d'un tube de siphon qui ferme le tuyau de décharge au niveau de la face supérieure et constitue un canal annulaire débouchant dans la tasse à immersion, en dessous du tube plongeur, pour l'alimentation en eau.
