ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: A device which can be used as a universal component in fish processing machines serves for the conveying and single delivery of fish in controllable amounts and distribu- tion. In this connection a continuous single delivery of the fish is to be achieved, in which, at the same time, the fish are distributed uniformly across the width of the conveying device. To this end the delivery position is arranged in the area of a returning run of a projecting upper section of an upwardly extending conveyor including entraining elements in the form of webs, and an edge of a cover provided in the area of a reversing station of the conveying belt, which edge facing the delivery position is arranged to be adjusted with respect to its gradient relative to the con- veying direction.
