ABSTRACT The invention relates to a device for the manual operation of a shaft which acts, for instance, on the transmission of a valve and is connected to a rotary-positioning motor, by which the hand drive is no case turned along with the shaft, causing damage, if the motor is suddenly switched on. As the coupling element, two coil springs are used which are centered at the wall of a sleeve with radial pretension if the hand drive is at rest.
