ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A device for cutting the outer border of a deep drawn pulley blank cup having a bottom and a circular cylindrical wall. A drive shaft is coaxially arranged with the cup. There is a coaxial filling body, drivable by the shaft, on which the cup fits. The body has a cutting edge at the level of the cut to be executed. A liftable and lowerable pressing device can press the bottom of the cup against the filling body. A cutting device at the level of the cutting edge is movable towards the edge. An axially movable ring is positioned coaxial to the driving shaft and below the cutting edge. In its normal position the ring is pressed against the cutting edge. The outer diameter of the ring corresponds to the inside diameter of the outer border and the inner diameter is larger than that of the driving shaft. A coaxial bearing ring rests on the drive shaft and carries the axially movable ring. The inner diameter of the bearing ring corresponds to the outer diameter of the drive shaft. An axially biasing spring is tensioned between the bearing ring and the drive shaft. The device enables the production of pulleys of uniform dimensions.
