The invention concerns a device and method for de-icing a live conductor. First, a detector determines the presence of ice in the conductor's environment and a radio trigger signal is then transmitted to an electromagnetic pulse source located near the conductor. The source then produces electromagnetic pulses which circulate in one or more pairs of conductor wires coiled along and around the live conductor. The magnetic repulsion force to which the conductor wires are exposed when a current moves through them makes them move, causing any ice which may have formed on the live conductor to break and fall off.
L'invention concerne un dispositif et une méthode pour déglacer un conducteur sous tension. On détecte d'abord la présence de glace dans l'environnement du conducteur à l'aide d'un détecteur et on envoie ensuite, par onde radio, un signal de déclenchement à une source d'impulsions électromagnétiques située à proximité du conducteur. La source produit alors des impulsions électromagnétiques qui circulent dans une ou des paires de fils conducteurs enroulés le long et autour du conducteur sous tension. La force de répulsion électromagnétique que subissent les fils conducteurs lorsqu'un courant circule dans ces derniers les fait bouger, ce qui casse et fait tomber la glace s'étant formée sur le conducteur sous tension.
