A device for destroying tyres with metallic cords using electric discharges, which comprises an arrangement for cutting off tyre beads, an arrangement for delivering the tyres with cut beads for destruction, a tyre destruction system in the shape of a pulse-discharge unit based on capacitors, which system is provided with an axially symmetrical means for connection to metallic cords in the form of two current conducting fixing members having the shape of truncated cones on the side of their working surfaces and means for discharging the products of destruction. In order to improve the efficiency of destroying tyres having various dimensions whose main portion of the cord wires, after cutting off beads, cannot be brought into direct galvanic contact with the pulse current source the axially symmetrical means is provided with a current conducting protrusion which is arranged coaxially relative to the two current conducting fixing members and which is galvanically connected to one of them while electrically isolated from the other. This device may further include a system for destroying the bead rings comprising a support assembly for placing cut-off bead rings, at least one inductor connected to the pulse-discharge unit, and a clamp.
Cette invention concerne un dispositif permettant de détruire à l'aide de décharges électriques des pneus qui comportent un câblé métallique, lequel dispositif comprend un système de lacération des flancs des pneus, un système d'acheminement des pneus à flancs lacérés vers une station de destruction, ainsi qu'un destructeur de pneus qui consiste en une unité de décharges par impulsions comprenant des condensateurs. Afin d'assurer la connexion au câblé métallique, cette unité comprend un système à symétrie axiale qui se présente sous forme de deux fixations électroconductrices, lesquelles fixations possèdent du côté de leurs surfaces de travail une forme de cône tronqué. Ce dispositif comprend également un système d'évacuation des produits résultant de la destruction. Afin d'améliorer l'efficacité de destruction de pneus ayant des dimensions variées, la majeure partie des torons du câblé, après la lacération des flancs, ne peut être mise en contact galvanique direct avec la source de courant à impulsions. Le système à symétrie axiale possède une protubérance électroconductrice qui est disposée de manière coaxiale par rapport aux deux fixations électroconductrices, qui est connectée galvaniquement à l'une d'entre elles et qui est isolée de l'autre. Ce dispositif peut également comprendre un système de destruction des talons latéraux, lequel système comprend un logement de réception de ces talons, au moins un inducteur connecté à l'unité de décharges par impulsions, ainsi qu'un élément de compression.
