The device comprises, within each subscriber's terminal, a carrier wave generator which carries said wave to a distribution centre (1) as long as the television of the terminal is in operation, the absence of said wave being detected in the centre by a circuit (4) which thereupon assigns a phantom channel to the subscriber. The switching of the subscriber's television to an independent source of the centre can only be accomplished following the assignment of the phantom channel to the subscriber.

11 ABREGE DESCRIPTIF DISPOSITIF DE DETECTION DE FIN DE CONNEXION A UN PROGRAMME PAYANT RECU PAR UN POSTE D'ABONNE VIA UN RESEAU DE TELEDISTRIBUTION INTERACTIVE Le dispositif de l'invention comporte, dans le terminal (7) de chaque abonné, un générateur d'onde porteuse qui envole cette onde au centre de distribution ( 1 ) tant que le téléviseur de ce terminal est en fonctionnement, l'absence de cette onde étant détectée dans le centre par un circuit (4) qui envole alors un canal fantôme à l'abonné. Le basculement du téléviseur de l'abonné vers une source indépendante du centre ne peut se faire qu'après l'envol d'un canal fantôme à cet abonné. Figure 1.
