PHN 9640 30.10.1980 ABSTRACT: Device for determining a radiation absorption distribution in a plane of a body. The invention relates to a computer tomography device in which the detector device is asymmetrically arranged with respect to the connecting line between the X- ray source and the centre of rotation of the source and the detector device. The detector device produces an incomple- te profile of measuring values which are supplemented with "zeros" during the processing in order to form a number of measuring values of a complete profile. In order to avoid artefacts which are produced by the acute transients between measuring values and "zeros", a number of measu- ring values adjoining the acute transients are multiplied up to and around the centre of rotation by a factor so that from the "zeros" a "smoothly" increasing series of adapted measuring values is obtained which changes over in the "normal" or unadapted series of measuring values.
