DEVICE FOR DETERMINING THE LIQUID INTAKE OF A BOTTLE-FED INFANT ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: The present invention provides a device for determining the liquid intake of a bottle-fed infant. For an open-ended feeding bottle or sleeve having a flexible liner or sac in which the liquid is contained, there is a plunger that fits inside the sleeve from the open end, a nipple being at the closed end from which the sac is filled. The plunger has a face that fits to the bottom of the sac, whereby a datum is established from which liquid intake by the infant may subsequently be determined. As liquid is consumed, the plunger is advanced by the mother to the end of the sac, the measurement of the advance from the datum being determinative of the liquid intake. Also, when the datum is being established, any air in the sac is expelled, leading to reduction of discomfort to the infant due to air intake. 13500-1
