ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Device for discharging leaves or stems of plants for use in an agricultural machine comprising cutting means and a receptor spout receiving cut leaves or stems, said spout having a conveyor screw moving therein through a driving shaft, on an extension (18) of said shaft (16) there is fixed a paddle-wheel (19) provided in a discharge space (17) disposed coaxially of the transport screw (15) and having a substantially greater diameter than that of the spout (14), said discharge space (17) being provided with a tangential outlet (26) which may be oriented by turning said discharge space (17) with respect to the periphery of the spout (14) so as to achieve either vertical or horizontal discharge of cut leaves or stems.
