ABSTRACT A pump for use with a dispensing device for dispensing pulsewise small quantities of liquid is disclosed. The pump comprises a hollow neck terminating in a larger capacity chamber at its lower end. An inlet to the chamber is closed by a check valve. A connecting tube passes along the inside of the neck to a measuring vessel, the tube terminating at its other end in the foot chamber adjacent the check valve. The capacity of the foot chamber is preferably slightly greater than that of the measuring vessel. The upper portion of the neck is connected through a three-way solenoid valve to a compressed air source for forcing liquid in the neck and foot up through the connecting tube to the measuring vessel in response to a refill signal.
