ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A roll blind includes a device for driving and stopping the roll blind. The device includes a clutch drum and a connecting member movably mounted in the clutch drum. A clutch mechanism retracts the connecting member into the clutch drum to allow free rotation of the winding roll of the roll blind when the blind cloth is moved downward. The clutch mechanism includes a clutch shaft rotatably mounted in the clutch drum, and a first clutch wheel integrally formed on the clutch shaft. A second clutch wheel is loosely fitted on the clutch shaft, and the first clutch wheel and the second clutch wheel are formed on their contacting surfaces with the same number of clutch dogs which only allow the transmission of the rotation of the second clutch wheel in one direction of movement of the clutch wheel.
