09-21(2847)A DEVICE FOR DRIVING ARTICLES INTO TREES Abstract of the Disclosure A device for driving an article into a tree, comprising a body, a passage in the body for holding a supply of articles, and a ram movable in the body through a ramming stroke for driving an article into a tree, and a return stroke. A mechanism is provided for dispensing articles, one at a time, from the supply of articles for delivery first to a preliminary position and then to a ready position for ramming engagement by the ram. The operation of the dispensing mechanism is so timed relative to the movement of the ram that each article, when dispensed, moves to the preliminary position as the ram moves through a ramming stroke to drive an article previously dispensed into the tree, and thereafter to the ready position during a return stroke of the ram.
