The invention relates to a device for drying a paper web (1), in particular a tissue web, with a structured fabric (3) on which the paper web (1) rests during the drying process, as well as a device (10) for dewatering the paper web (1), with a mechanism (10, 11) for securing the paper web (1) to the structured fabric (3), and with a drying drum on which the paper web is dried by hot air. According to the invention, the device has a single roll unit comprising a suction roll (10) and a press roll (11) to dewater and secure the paper web (1) to the structured fabric (3).
