A device for suturing an opening in an internal organ of a patient, comprises a first catheter for insertion to an opening to be sealed through a working channel of an endoscope, a plurality of anchoring members received within the first catheter, each of the anchoring members including a shaft extending from a tissue penetrating distal tip to a suture receiving proximal end and a gripping arm moveable between an insertion configuration in which the gripping arm is folded against the shaft and a gripping configuration in which the gripping member extends away from the shaft and a driving member extending through the first catheter to a proximal end thereof, wherein advancing the driving member distally into the first catheter advances the anchoring members distally through the first catheter to drive a distal-most one of the anchoring members out of the first catheter to anchor in tissue. A length of suture extends between the suture receiving proximal ends of the anchor members.
L'invention concerne un dispositif permettant de suturer une ouverture dans un organe interne d'un patient. Ce dispositif comprend un premier cathéter destiné à être inséré dans une ouverture à fermer à travers un canal opérateur d'un endoscope, plusieurs éléments d'ancrage logés dans ce premier cathéter, chaque élément d'ancrage comprenant une tige s'étendant d'une pointe distale de pénétration du tissu à une extrémité proximale de réception de la suture et un bras d'accrochage mobile entre une configuration d'insertion dans laquelle ce bras d'accrochage est plié contre la tige et une configuration d'accrochage dans laquelle l'élément d'accrochage s'étend loin de la tige, et un élément d'entraînement s'étendant à travers le première cathéter jusqu'à une extrémité proximale de celui-ci. Le fait d'avancer l'élément d'entraînement distalement dans le premier cathéter fait avancer les éléments d'ancrage distalement à travers le premier cathéter pour entraîner l'élément d'ancrage le plus distal à l'extérieur du premier cathéter pour qu'il s'ancre dans le tissu. Une longueur de suture s'étend entre les extrémités proximales de réception de la suture des éléments d'ancrage.
