ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The device serves for equalizing and controlling the pressure in at least two pressure volumes, particularly in pneumatic tires of a vehicle. A pressure chamber provided with a lockable line is closed by a valve member so as to be imperious to the medium. A bias spring urges the valve number towards a valve seat into which the passageway of a pressure volume opens. The active free area of the valve member facing towards the pres- sure chamber is larger than the cross-sectional area of the orifice of the connecting passageway. In order to keep the valve member closed also when the pressure in the pressure volume increases above the nominal pressure, the passageways of all the pressure volumes open into the valve seat and can be closed by means of the valve member. Moreover, the sum of the cross-sectional areas of all the orifices of the passageways is smaller than the active free area of the valve member facing towards the pressure chamber.
