Device for estimating the general behaviour of a group of persons, each person being the driver of a moving body. The invention relates to a device allowing to estimate comparatively the behaviours by measuring the average speeds of a same group or more generally of different groups in one location or at different locations. The device is comprised of a casing (1) concealable inside an enveloppe (2) including on the one hand a display unit (3) programmable by the threshold of the selected speed and on the other hand two meters (4 and 5), one indicating the number of moving bodies exceeding the threshold value and the other one indicating the total number of moving bodies. The components are a Doppler sensor (6) or the like, an amplification stage (7), a logic stage (8) for the control of the meters, one or a plurality of batteries (9). The invention relates to two methods, one for counting and displaying, the other one for visualizing and storing. The invention relates to fields for applying the device and methods to the measurement of average speeds of road users in relation to traffic security, to the measurement of average speeds of athlets with or without mechanical equipment in relation with sport events, and to the measurement of instantaneous speeds, of lengths of the bodies and to their classification in relation to rolling bodies on roads.
PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION: Dispositif pour apprécier le comportement général d'un groupe d'hommes, chaque homme étant pilote d'un corps en mouvement. L'invention concerne un dispositif permettant d'apprécier comparativement les comportements par les mesures de vitesses moyennes d'un même groupe, ou plus généralement de différents groupes au même lieu ou en des lieux différents. Il est constitué d'un boîtier (1) dissimulable à l'intérieur d'une enveloppe (2) comportant d'une part un afficheur (3) programmable par le seuil de la vitesse choisie et d'autre part deux compteurs (4) et (5), l'un indique le nombre de corps en mouvement dépassant le seuil, l'autre indique le nombre total de corps en mouvement. Les composants sont un capteur (6) à effet Doppler ou autre, un étage d'amplification (7), un étage logique (8) de commande des compteurs, une ou plusieurs piles ou batteries (9). L'invention concerne deux procédés, l'un pour compter et afficher, l'autre pour visualiser et mémoriser. L'invention concerne les domaines d'application du ou des dispositifs et procédés appliqués à la mesure des vitesses moyennes des usagers de la route, ce qui concerne la sécurité routière, appliquée à la mesure des vitesses moyennes des sportifs avec ou sans équipement mécanique ce qui concerne les épreuves sportives, appliquées à la mesure des vitesses instantanées, des longueurs des corps et à leur classification en ce qui concerne les corps roulants sur les routes.
