O.Z. 0050/40603 Abstract of the Disclosure: An apparatus for exposing photopolymeric printing plates consists of a stand (1) having integral UV fluorescent tubes (7b), an obliquely arranged glass support sheet (4) [sic] for supporting the printing plates, the support sheet being equipped with an orthogonal pattern (25, 26) of grooves, connected to vacuum pumps, a matt black cloth (9) arranged between the UV fluores- cent tubes and the support sheet, a lid (2) which is pivotable about a pivotal point (6), is connected to the stand and has integral UV fluorescent tubes (7a), the lid being capable of being swivelled up- ward on the one hand and laid flat on the stand on the other hand, and a means (4) which moves to and fro via toothed racks (5) and is intended for fold-free and bubble-free positioning and simultaneous cleaning of a vacuum film (3), the vacuum film giving a vacuum-tight seal against the support sheet when the printing plate is placed on top.
