A B S T R A C T A device for fastening a front plate to metal drawer side walls which have at their front sides one recess, each. A block having a groove is fastened to the front plate by means of dowels. One drawer side wall, each, is insertable into the groove. An adjustment plate which is held in the block projects into the recess of the drawer side wall. The drawer side wall has a slot which is disposed behind the recess and in which a projection protruding from a side wall of the block engages. An adjustment plate which abuts on the upper and lower edge of the recess is arranged in the groove of the block.
