14 ABSTRACT A device for fastening the reed on the mouthpiece of single- reed wind instruments, in particular of clarinets and saxophones, includes a string (3) which is wound in incomplete turns, in a succession with alternated directions, by means of two rod members (4,5), and an adjustment system (8,14) which, by modifying the distance between the rod members, controls the tension of the string.
