Device for feeding animals comprising at least one feeding fence with a frame displaceable over a ground surface, a number of bars attached to the frame which in pairs define openings through which the animals can place their head, and means for displacing the feeding fence over the ground surface. The frame supports through support means directly on the ground surface and is provided with a floor plate extending at a small interval above the ground rearward of the frame to a rear edge making contact with the ground, which plate can support at least the front legs of the animals which have pushed their head through the respective openings, wherein the feeding fence is of the self-catching type having close to each opening a swivel bar locking behind the head of the animal after the head has been pushed through the opening, and wherein the displacing means comprise motor drive means which prevent movement of the feeding fence in the non-active state.
Dispositif pour l'alimentation d'animaux comprenant au moins une clôture d'alimentation avec un bâti pouvant se déplacer au-dessus de la surface du sol, des barreaux fixés au bâti qui, en paires, définissent des ouvertures par lesquelles les animaux peuvent se passer la tête, et des moyens pour déplacer la clôture d'alimentation au-dessus de la surface du sol. Le bâti s'appuie directement à la surface du sol par l'entremise de moyens d'appui et comporte une plaque de plancher s'étendant à faible intervalle au-dessus du sol vers l'arrière du bâti jusqu'au bord arrière faisant contact avec le sol, laquelle plaque peut supporter au moins les pattes avant des animaux qui ont passé la tête dans les ouvertures respectives. La clôture d'alimentation est du type à fermeture automatique ayant, près de chaque ouverture, une barre oscillante se verrouillant derrière la tête de l'animal après qu'elle soit passée dans l'ouverture, et les moyens de déplacement sont constitués d'un entraînement par moteur qui empêche le mouvement de la clôture d'alimentation dans l'état non actif.
