A B S T R A C T A device for feeding logs has at least one pair of elastically resilient rotatable feed wheels which generally conform to the shape of a log being fed when pressed against the log, At least one of the feed wheels has means for rein- forcing its shape at the upper portion, and the lower portion is generally free of reinforcing means so that it is more re- silient than the upper portion.
