ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Disclosed is a fastening device adapted to fasten molding to an edge of a glass plate and an associated window frame. The device comprises a supporting piece and a movable holding piece. The supporting piece includes a base plate having a bottom surface and a forward edge with guides being disposed on the base plate. At least one protruding strip is disposed on the base plate and has teeth means on a lateral face thereof. The movable holding piece includes a main body member having opposed means held in operative association with the guides of the supporting piece whereby the supporting piece is constrained in movement by the guides in the direction of the first edge and a direction opposite thereto. The holding piece has at least one arm having teeth means thereon adapted to mesh with the teeth means of the at least one protruding strip and further has means for holding molding in position when the fastening device is in operative association with a glass plate and window frame.
