PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION L'invention concerne un dispositif pour engendrer des impulsions sismiques à l'intérieur d'un trou ou puits de forage, par percussion d'une masse chutant sur un élément-cible couplé avec la paroi du puits. L'élément-cible est solidaire d'un élément d'ancrage à volume variable pouvant être dilaté de manière à venir s'appliquer contre la paroi du puits, et est surmonté d'une colonne le long de laquelle coulisse une masse. Un système de levage à câbles et moyens magnétiques permet de hisser la masse à une certaine hauteur au-dessus de l'élément-cible.
