DEVICE FOR GERMINATING SEEDS Abstract of the Disclosure An appliance to germinate seeds for sprouts. Stackable body members are supported one on top of the other and on top of a base member. A tray member is slidably positioned within each body member. Each tray member includes a non- porous bottom having a substantially smooth upper surface for supporting a quantity of seeds to be germinated. The upper surface of each bottom of each tray member slopes downwardly at a substantial angle from the front edge thereof completely to the rear edge thereof. A fog of water is intro- duced into each body member for specific lengths of time at specific time intervals and at a specific temperature for causing the seeds supported by the tray members to germinate and for keeping the seeds moist and rinsed as they germinate. A deflector is positioned adjacent the rear edge of the bottom of each tray member to deflect water running off the rear of each tray member to prevent that water from contacting any of the seeds supported on the tray members therebelow.
