The invention relates to a device for granulating thermoplastics that are extruded from nozzles, the latter being provided in a nozzle disc in a substantially circular arrangement. Blades, which rotate about a blade carrier shaft and are held by a blade carrier in an oblique position in relation to the radial direction, sweep over said nozzles. The blade carrier shaft runs through the centre of the circular assembly and a cooling medium is fed to the nozzle disc and the blades to cool the granulated plastics. The blade carrier, together with the blade carrier shaft, is located in an essentially circular housing, which extends as far as the nozzle disc and into which a supply of cooling medium flows in a tangential direction, in order to create a circulatory stream in said housing containing the rotating blade carrier. The cooling medium rotates in the housing at a speed and in a rotational direction that essentially correspond to the rotational speed and rotational direction of flow passages in the blade carrier, by means of which the cooling medium is fed to the blades.
L'invention concerne un dispositif de granulation de matières thermoplastiques extrudées à partir de buses, lesquelles sont montées dans un plateau à buses dans un dispositif sensiblement circulaire, la matière venant en contact avec des lames entraînées en rotation autour d'un axe de porte-lames, lesdites lames étant maintenues par un porte-lames en position inclinée par rapport à la direction radiale. L'axe du porte-lames passe par le centre du dispositif circulaire. Un fluide de refroidissement est amené au plateau à buses et aux lames, en vue de réfrigérer la matière plastique granulée. L'invention est caractérisée en ce que porte-lames est disposé, par son axe, dans un carter sensiblement circulaire, s'étendant jusqu'au plateau à buses, en ce qu'une amenée de fluide de refroidissement débouche tangentiellement dans ledit carter, en vue d'engendrer une circulation annulaire dans ce carter, à l'intérieur duquel tourne le porte-lames, et en ce que le fluide de refroidissement est entraîné en rotation dans le carter, sensiblement à une vitesse et dans un sens de rotation correspondant à la vitesse de rotation et au sens de rotation des orifices de circulation dans le porte-lames, via lesquels le fluide de refroidissement parvient aux lames.
