A device for guiding a print carrier while said print carrier is fed to and removed from a plate cylinder of a printing press comprises two guide elements (9, 10) which, respectively, may be in the form of rollers, disk-shaped segments or skids, whereby for feeding the print carrier (1) the one guide element (9) is in an engagement position at a defined distance from the surface of the plate cylinder (7) while the other guide element (10) is in a disengagement position, and for removing the print carrier (1) the other guide element (10) is in an engagement position at a defined distance from the surface of the plate cylinder (7) while the one guide element (9) is in a disengagement position.
