A device for hanging an item is provided. The device is comprised of a rod. The rod has a bend that constitutes a fulcrum. The rod also has an attaching means proximate to each end of the rod for releasably attaching the rod to the item. A method for manufacturing the device is also provided. The method comprises the steps of first making a first bend in the rod. Further, the rod is bent proximate to each of its ends to form attaching means for releasably attaching the rod to the item. Also, methods for hanging an item using the device are provided.
